Glory Dancers is a dance ministry formed by a group of ladies as a means to express their love and faith to our Lord Jesus Christ through dancing.  The group worships in the Spanish and Sunday Worship Service, Street and Community outreach ministries, and had been actively involved in the last successful Easter Passion play, together with the youth and two gentlemen, which was a first in Calvary Temple history!

 

Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. Psalm 149:3

 

Being called to dance for God’s glory, how does the group strive to live up to its name?  Rhea, Deena, Lalaine and Maricel share their views.  

Give our time and talent to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ;
Let His power work through our lives;
Obey God incessantly and never leave the calling;
Relationship with God and with fellow believers is built and strengthened;
Young or old, men or women alike, are welcome and encouraged to join!

What then could be more exhilarating than dancing to the groove of Christian music!   It takes though more than wearing the dancing shoes, and performing and executing the routines to bring glory and honor to our God.  Our friends in the Glory Dancers sum it up in these brief statements:

 

Devotion and dedication to His ministry;

Adoration, reverence and praises belong to Christ alone;

Need and seek to please our Lord;

Commitment to excellence;

Enthusiasm to bring about a lively and worshipful dance;

Revival of the heart;

Spirit of the Lord in our hearts, so we can dance as David danced!

 

It's indeed through the Spirit of the Lord that we can dance.  If they can dance, you can dance!
